♥ ♥ About the Book ♥ ♥
***Author Note: This is not a love story. This is a story of love gone wrong.***
Growing up the way I did, you’d think I’d be more screwed up than what I actually am.
Soon as I turned sixteen, I left that bump in the road I called home and took my chances on the street.
Best decision I ever made. Now, at the age of twenty six, I’m educated, employed and damn good at my job. My friends have become my family. Like me, they know what it’s like to grow up unloved.
But the saying is true. The world makes way for those who know where they are going.
That’s me. I know where I’m going and I’ll get there eventually. On my own terms and at my own pace.
But then there’s him. I feel his eyes on me. I see him hiding in plain sight. He watches me.
He makes me feel.
But it’s real.
I’m sure you’re wondering how a person falls in love with their stalker.
So am I.
This isn’t a story.
This is my life.
***This book includes situations that some may find uncomfortable.
♥ ♥ Pretty Little Review ♥ ♥
WOW. If you are not a Belle Aurora fan yet I promise that you will be after this book. It is fantastically written and leaves you clinging to the pages until the end. I fell hopelessly in love with Twitch even though he is a bit sadistic and frightening and I loved the smart mouth and sweet heart of Lexi. Woahhh. I feel like I need to catch my breath and check my pulse after finishing this one. EEEEKKK. This book is definitely a hard read though. It deals with some things that readers may find offensive (stalking, rape, murder, etc.) But love does come to us in funny ways and this is not different for Twitch and Lexi. Yea their love may be unconventional and maybe even a bit disturbing. But this my friends is what makes the book what it is. Yikes! I just loved it. I cannot wait to pick up another Belle Aurora Book. I am officially hooked.
Okay. So more about this book....
“Monsters don’t always lurk in the shadows.”
Lexi feels it. She is being watched. But she doesn’t know why. After almost being raped, Lexi is saved from a man who is hiding behind his hood. Who is this man? And why did he come out of the shadows and save her? Not knowing what it is about this man she suddenly feels safe. These feelings are strange because she should be afraid. But she’s not. She feels protection like she has never felt before.
Twitch has been watching Lexi for a long time- almost his entire life. When he comes to her defense he doesn’t realize that this angel is going to be the one person who changes his life forever. But his feeling about her are new to him. He’s not used to wanting a woman the way he wants Lexi. And, try as he might he cannot control the raw emotions that are coming from his heart. But he is hiding secrets and those secrets can change the course of their relationship forever.
Wow. This book is spicy AND hot. But a little disturbing as well. When the two finally connect on an intimate and animalistic way readers will find themselves blushing and wondering if they are disturbed as well.
“There’s only one way I fuck. The words are so crude that my lips part and I huff in an unsteady breath. He takes a step forward, his eyes never leaving mine. Dirty. Watching my reaction, he adds And this type of dirty…He breathes deep and says on an exhale… it doesn’t wash off”
I mean… Woahhh. Twitch is violent yet gentle. Dirty yet clean. And sexy… and beastly. His character just oozes darkness but this darkness makes readers crave him. I just could not get enough of him. And apparently, no matter how dangerous he appeared to be, Lexi couldn’t get enough of him either
“There’s something about Twitch. He’s just… raw. Everything about him is raw. And gritty. And unbound. He’s a raging fire. And I’m a fragile moth fluttering in the flame.”
I really loved this book. Everything about it literally screamed my name and I could not get enough. The only thing that left me hanging (literally) is the end. I do wonder whether there will be a book 2 (which I heard there won’t be but am HOPING there will be). This would be fabulous because the ending does leave somethings that us fans needs to know about. I also think there could be a GREAT story about Happy- another character in the book who I fell in love with ((Kind of like I fell in love with Preppy in KING by T.M. Frazier).
Anyway, this book is raw, dark, and gritty. It’s a great read that I highly recommend to all fans of dark romance. Try this one out if you haven’t already!
