Anti-Romance by Cassia Leo
Release Date: March 8, 2016
Overall Rating: 4 Stars
Anti-Romance is a fun, dirty, and humorous book. It’s extremely fast paced (I read it in two hours) and will definitely keep you entertained from page 1 all the way through the end. Readers must be warned though; this book does end in the dreaded cliffhanger. Thankfully, the nest book in the series Pro Love, will be available in the near future (I have heard June 10th but am not positive). It also should be mentioned that there is sort of a love triangle as towards the end, Laney is put in an awkward position of choosing between two eligible suitors. But, seeing as she is a single lady and not committed to anyone this shouldn’t really be a problem. I know who I am rooting for though!
This book is about a woman named Laney who honestly believes romance is dead. In fact, she writes a blog about this very thing. Normally, Laney will write about her sexual escapades when she is finished dating a man (this is quite funny actually) and post all about it on her blog. Of course, she leaves their names out of it as to protect the identities of all involved. But after having an ugly breakup with “Dick Little” things turn ugly and Laney not only has to decide if chivalry and romance is in fact “alive”, but she also has to deal with the fact that “Dick Little” has caused a shit storm for Laney and her precious blog. All in all, this is literally how the book ends so you will have to wait for the next book in the series to come out. But I think it is worth it as the story as a whole is pretty good!
Overall, I really liked this book and I would definitely read more books by the author in the future. This one is pretty light hearted (besides the ending that leaves you mouth hanging open and your fingers gripping the pages), humorous, and really just adorable. So yes, I do recommend this one and I honestly can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!
