My childhood was perfect.
I’ve led a charmed life, and I’m not going to blow it now by picking the wrong guy.
I’ve got my sights set on my brother’s best friend.
He’s known my family for years. He’s reliable and kind and handsome.
Sure, he’s been avoiding me since I was six.
I’m a bit aggressive for him, maybe.
But he’s the one… right?
Yes! Jana Aston has another hit on her hands with this book. Talk about swoon! I loved everything about this book - EVERYTHING . It's smart, funny, and panty melting (and I don't use that phrase too often). Honestly, I don't know what it is about this book (and the series) that has got me hooked, but I like it! Maybe it's the significant age gaps that make the story not only unique but taboo? Maybe it's just the authors writing style and the way she uses words? Or is it just the amazingly written and hilarious characters she comes up with? Either way, her stories are DIVINE and I will keep reading them as long as she is writing them. If you haven't picked up a Jana Aston book you need too . I swear, she is easily becoming a favorite author of mine. I have even finished picking up the rest of the books because they are that good!!! Definitely check it out though. Even if I have only peaked your curiosity a little bit. C'mon, you know you want too!
This book is Everly's story. If you read the first book, WRONG, then you will remember her as Sophie's co worker in the coffee shop. She is the kind of girl that doesn't take no for an answer. I mean she did stalk her brother's best friend/professor since Strawberry Shortcake was all the rage.... Sure, some people may be turned off by these stalking tendencies but for me, it's icing on the cake because the way she does it is hilarious! In addition to this, Everly is a sassy character. She's likes being helpful (even if this means setting her roommate up on a blind date WITHOUT telling her until she is already AT the date, hehe) and she is absolutely incorrigible. Honestly, she makes the book and I adored her character.
You may be wondering who Everly ends up with... And I will not tell you because it will ruin the story. Could it be Finn, the man she has stalked/been pining over for years? Or does someone else (perhaps her perfect match in EVERY department, catch her heart? You'll have to read to find out!
Anyway, that's what I have to say about this review and if you take anything away from it then it should be this: READ IT . It's so damn good it's annoying! LOL <3
