who’s immune to his charms. Until Allie. For one night, the feisty blonde rocked his entire world—and now she wants to be friends? Nope. It’s not over until he says it’s over. Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it’s time to stop focusing on scoring…and shoot for love.
Fans of college romances with cocky bad boys and irresistible heroines will definitely want to pick up this installment of the Off Campus series! This is a really great book that features on sexy hockey player that will melt your panties and your heart all at the same time. What’s better than this? Well, this book has some serious swoon worthy moments, it gives you a fun glimpse of two total opposites falling in love, AND is hilarious! The jokes that Dean and his friends make made me laugh out loud (i.e. Winston; Dean’s friend found him in a hot bubble bath “alone” with a pink vibrator named WINSTON). LOL this totally cracked me up!
Anyway, for those who are wondering if this can be read as a standalone, the answer is YES. I haven’t read the other two books in the series yet, but I own them and will dive into them soon. This is a series of interconnected standalones that feature a different couple/player from the hockey team at Briar University :o)
In this installment of the Off Campus series, readers are able to follow the magical journey of Dean and Allie as they fall in love. Is this an insta love kind of book? HECK NO. Dean is the school’s player. He sleeps with girls all the time, is known to have a few threesomes, and definitely does not do the whole relationship thing. But one night with Allie and all of this seems to change. The feelings that Dean and Allie develop for one another does take a bit of time and coaxing. Like some dirty text messages, and a lot of begging for one more night. But in the end, the two end up finding that maybe it is possible for opposites to attract and end up together… There will be some drama (it’s not over the top, thankfully), there will be some jealousy, and there will be some breakups. But the end result will leave you satisfied. This is especially true considering the journey the two take to find their love…
Overall, I really liked this book. It’s a great college romance and I would totally recommend it. Even more, I honestly look forward to reading the other books in the series as this one suddenly has me hooked to the secondary characters who play a role in the first two books. So, if you’re looking for a GREAT read than I suggest picking this one up!
