So, after the elevator finally started moving again, I cancelled the interview and let her believe I was someone I wasn’t―a bike messenger named Jay. I loved the way she looked at the fake me and didn't want it to end.
I began dating her as “Jay”―all the while letting her interview the real me over email.
I didn’t expect that our chemistry online would be just as hot.
I didn’t expect the mess I’d gotten myself into.
I didn’t expect that Jay and Dex would fall in love with her.
And she was falling for two men.
Only, both men were me.
And when she found out, we were both going to lose her.
Nothing could have prepared me for that day. And I certainly wasn't prepared for what came after.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

Genre: Contemporary Romance (Mega Rich Men)
Is it me, or do these covers (and cover models) keep getting better and better? I swear, every time Vi Keeland, Penelope Ward, (or both together) reveal a cover I have to fan myself off.. You would think I was going through menopause or something. But, I am only 31 so it's definitely these delicious covers... With that, this is another fantastic and swoon worthy romance from this amazing duo. Whenever they come together and write a novel I pick it up with no questions asked. Why? Because I know I am in for a swoony ride with fantastic characters, easy and fun plot lines, and exquisite writing. Was it any different with this novel? Nope! And I enjoyed reading every second of it.
In this one, we meet Dex (aka Jay) and Bianca. Dex is a millionaire and owner of a successful company and Bianca is a freelance writer who is set to interview him. Unfortunately for her, she ends up getting stuck in an elevator with him. And she says some unkind things about rich men as they all seem pretty egotistical in her eyes. So he has to come up with a solution not only to change what she thinks of the mega rich (like him) but to also get to know her better. As the attraction is insane and he can't get her out of his head. Enter a thick plot with a few white lies, a lot of sexual chemistry, some downright funny moments, and a major twist in the story you won't see coming!
Now, I think it's pretty clear that I really loved this novel. The chemistry between the two is spot on and the dynamics between the two is amazing. However, I have to admit that I am a little tired of seeing the same tropes over and over again (hence why I had to go down a star). I have personally read COUNTLESS books about rich men and the women that steal their hearts. I mean honestly, it seems like every other romance novel does the same thing but with different characters and relationship twists. This gets extremely tiring and if authors don't change it up I fear I am going to get bored with the genre.
Other than this, I enjoyed the novel and will continue to read their books. I would also recommend it to fellow readers who enjoy:
