I listened to the audio version of this novel so this review is based on the audio and the plot.
I haven't listened to many audio books in the past because they make me feel disconnected to the story. Recently however, I wanted to give them another shot because I enjoy background noise when I am cleaning, driving, and doing other stuff here and there. When I was offered a chance to listen to Kathy Coopmans latest novel I thought to myself that this would be a good place to start and I am so glad I did. The narration from Lacy and Logan is flawless. The way they tell the story made me want to continue listening and I actually felt as though I was part of it. In addition to this, I didn't feel like I was wasting time listening to it. I know that may sound silly to some but as I mentioned before, I am new to audios. Instead of wanting to "wrap it up" and "finish already" I wanted it to keep going long after it was over. This is due to both the narration of the story and of course the brilliant plot from Kathy Coopmans.
Come Back to Me is a beautifully told and emotionally charged romance. Some of the stuff behind it is a bit far fetched, but I couldn't help but fall in love with it anyway. The characters, even through their grief and pain, are wonderfully written and easy to get to know despite everything that is happening. There is darkness, there are secrets, and there is pain, but once everything comes together it becomes an epic love story that readers won't forget.
Overall, I really enjoyed this novel and would consider giving it a re-read in book format to see how much it effects me the way the audio book did. Also, I would recommend this to fans of romances that take you on a turbulent emotional journey.
I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Kathy Coopmans. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.
