Crazy for You is a fun and lighthearted romance that is sure to make many readers hearts swell. Filled with angst, this is a story about two people who have known each other since childhood who clearly have an interest in one another, but are to afraid to let go and just be with one another. There are underlying reasons for this of course, and to find out what they are you will need to read the story, but it definitely adds to the angst of the story and even gives it a bit of a forbidden quality.
I found the writing style of the novel to be great. Rachel Lacey clearly knows how to draw her readers in and adds unique qualities to each of her characters. I found the heroine, Emma, to be very likable, and it was fun to see her let loose as she makes it pretty clear in the beginning of the book that she isn't spontaneous enough and her life holds little excitement. The hero, Ryan, is also very likable, and comes off as a little bit of a bad boy (although not too much where readers will be thinking he is a jerk).
Overall, I enjoyed this story. It's cute, fun, and doesn't have too much drama to turn readers off. On the other hand, the story wasn't my personal favorite and I think it's because I wasn't able to fully connect with the characters. This has nothing to do with the writing or story line. They just didn't quite stand out to me all that much.
Readers who are looking for a light-hearts and fast faced read would pair perfectly with this novel. This also goes for those who are fans of the authors previous work. Rachel Lacey is a new author to me, but I can guarantee that I will be reading more of her books in the future.
