will she choose wisely? Her heart, and the hearts of the two best men she knows, depend on it... Romantic, suspenseful, and a whole lot of fun, You’re the One That I Want is a great read about friendship, love, and the decisions that we make.
This story, while I though would be a light hearted novel, was packed with serious emotion. Truth be told I wasn't expecting this at all. I thought it would be a light hearted read with little drama and a lot of humor. However, I was mistaken. Some may think that a 3 star rating means that I was disappointed but really, it wasn't. I truly enjoyed this story. I just didn't love it.
This story is pretty complicated as it explores the complexities of friendship and love. The heroine of the story, Maddy, is almost torn in deciding which of her best friends - Rob or Ben - is the one she should end up with. Sure it seems like a love triangle, but it's not in a sense that she is with both at the same time. Maddy's indecision was a bit bothersome to me, but I suppose this is true human nature so it does make sense for the story. So don't be mistaken about the "love triangle" aspect. I promise, it's not as bad as you think.
Now, the one of the main reasons I gave this book a 3 star rating is because I was a bit confused with the dual POV's. This made it hard to follow and essentially keep up with the characters. I did like the ending though and although I was a little confused throughout, was happy to see how it all came together.
