Confusing. Wrong. Twisted. Beautiful. Sick.
Love is wild.
And we’re going to set it free.
The Wild is an extremely taboo story. Most will find that the themes in this book will make you incredibly uncomfortable. This book is only for the brave, the open-minded, and the ones who crave love in even the most dismal of situations. Extreme sexual themes and violence in certain scenes, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. If you are sensitive to heavy taboo themes, then this story is not for you.
Unfortunately, this book has been banned on amazon and likely, all sites. I am not sure why as the story isn't exactly what it seems and I have seen and read books with similar themes. I was lucky enough to snatch a copy off smashwords but it seems gone from there too. Sigh. For now, if you want to read the book you can purchase the paperback.

Guess what? All that hype about how controversial and sick this book was made me instantly one click (I really can't help myself when it comes to things like this). Plus, adding in the fact that it was BANNED on amazon... Well, it made me want to read it even more. So I did. And I have to say, it wasn't as bad as some people are making it out to be. But this could also be because I knew the twist prior to going in it (damn you spoilers!). Anyway... The Wild by K. Webster is certainly a very forbidden an majorly taboo love story between a father and daughter when they move to the Wilderness. There are parts of this story that are going to make you cringe: (view spoiler) and other parts that are downright sexy! I mean, K. Webster can write erotica like the best of them, but man did she make me blush! But above all of this, this is a work of FICTION and I was able to look past the things that made me want to throw up in my mouth a little bit. If you are the type of person who can handle dirty little tales of forbidden love, grab it on smashwords (not banned there!). If incestual relationships are not something you can handle in fiction then don't. But you also shouldn't bash the author OR readers who enjoyed this book because a. this book will NOT awaken these dirty thoughts inside you and make you fall in love your family members and b. IT'S NOT REAL.
I don't want to go too far into the plot because I think those who read it without spoilers will enjoy it more. Or, you may be disgusted. Who knows! So I won't really dive in deep when it comes to that aspect. But, I will say that this is one of the most TABOO romances I have ever read. And I have read quite a few taboo stories in my day (if you like taboo books like this, try picking up Under Mr. Nolan's Bed by Selena Kit). Finally, this book left me feeling all sorts of ways, happy, dirty, bewildered, etc. So I will admit that I did like it, and there are certainly things I took away from it. However, I think if it were a bit longer and dove a little deeper into what happens when people are secluded from the world or even into depression (which plays a small albeit important part in the book) then I would have liked it a bit more.
