…At least I tried.

This book was really fun to read. The author takes dating challenges to a whole new level and being on the journey with Giselle was a riot. How many times have women said "that's it, I'm becoming a lesbian because men suck?" I bet many of you will raise your hands for this and that's the exact premise of this book! Giselle is tired of men. So she decides it's time to try something new and bat for the same team. I mean, it can't be THAT hard to date a woman. Right? Girls know what girls want because they are one. Girls are familiar with the female anatomy because they all have the same things. And girls don't pee all over their dates walls. So why is everyone getting on her case saying that you can't switch sexual preferences like one can switch religions? Hmmm...
This book is an over the top, fun, and UNIQUE romantic comedy. The characters are great and I love how they aren't your typical twenty something but rather women in their late thirties. The dates that Giselle finds herself on are downright hilarious. Who would have thought that dating women can be just as hard as dating men? I guess we all have our flaws and Giselle was the type of character to attract people with the most flaws around. The unexpected love story that blossoms from her failed encounters was a real treat and something that totally made me smile and swoon. And the ending was utterly PERFECT.
If you're looking for a book to get lost in for a couple of hours and like a good laugh then I would recommend this book to you. I enjoyed it immensely and hope the author will continue it on into a series because I think some of the secondary characters NEED their own story. If not, I may have a cry, but I'll eventually get over it because this book WAS enough.
