MEETING THE READING GOALS. HOW DID I DO?
I set quite a few reading goals this year and I am making it my mission to meet them. Let's see my accomplishments for the month of February and whether or not I was able to stick with the goals I have set.
#1. DNF Books that You Aren't Into: There were 2 books on my TBR that I tried to get into (one was a romance and one was a chick lit) that I did not like so I stopped reading them. I'm glad I did so as well because it gave me more time to read some amazing books that I have been wanting to read for a long time.
#2. Bigger Variety in Reading Materials: I haven't really tried new genres and have been mostly reading romances and cozy mysteries BUT I did finish a women's fiction novel (The High Tide Club). I used to always read this genre so I am really happy that I read and enjoyed it. This may not be a huge difference in terms of variety, but it counts!
#3. Stop Accepting so many ARC novels: I have been sort of meeting this. I just can't stop myself from requesting books on netgalley! However, I haven't read any requests that come through to my email because I haven't been in the mood and I only accepted ARC's for book tour novels (2) that I wanted to read.
#4. Stop Committing to tours, reveals, and blitzes: Once again, I am meeting this goal! I have only been doing cover reveals with the occasional tour that I committed to a while ago.
#5. Conquer my TBR list and Backlogged Books: I have read 2 books from my backlog of books this month. I have been committing for at least 2 books a month so this is being met.
