Hey, everyone! I am trying something new here so that I can keep track of my reading goals this year. So I am going to keep a montly recap to see how I am doing with this and keep track of the books I read for my reading challenge. Does anyone else do something similar? I would love to check out your posts if you do. READING GOALS FOR 2018This year I pledged to many reading goals for myself so that I could read the books that I wanted to read and clean out some of the older titles that I have been meaning to get to but haven't yet. Let's see if these goals are being met. #1. DNF Books that You Aren't Into: I have one DNF book for January 2018 and I didn't feel bad about not finishing it. This could be because it was an older book from my own library and NOT an ARC, but at least I stopped when I knew it wasn't going to get any better for me. #2. Bigger Variety in Reading Materials: Okay. So I may not have READ any books of different varieties that I tend to shy away from (which is one of my goals for my reading challenge) but I HAVE purchased a couple of books that I would tend to shy away from. So we'll have to see how that goes in the coming months. #3. Stop Accepting so many ARC novels: Thankfully, I have been able to do this as I am not accepting ARC's at this time. However, Netgalley and edelweiss are a different story and I continue to request titles that look good to me. I would like to work on this more through the month of February because I am already feeling the effects of having too many ARCs. #4. Stop Committing to tours, reveals, and blitzes: I have been REALLY good with this so far. I have only been signing up for cover reveals (because I love sharing them with the world and it helps me to post them on my upcoming release section) and book tours that include books I wanted to read anyways. So YAY for this. #5. Conquer my TBR list and Backlogged Books: I have been trying to conquer my TBR but haven't been to successful this month. Thankfully it's only January so I have 11 more months to go. As far as books on my backlog (i.e. books I own but haven't read) I am doing pretty good. I was able to read 3 books from my kindle that I have had on there for a while during the month of January. Hopefully next month I can get in at least 5. READING CHALLENGE 2018I have 50 goals on my reading challenge list for 2018 and was successfully able to read 8 books out of the 50. If I am going at this rate I will probably conquer my challenge well before the year is over! So this is going really good for me. Here is a list of the ones I have completed so far.
